Responsibilities
• Conduct quantitative research and analysis on the energy market to identify trends, patterns,
and potential opportunities for our energy trading business.
• Utilize advanced statistical and mathematical models to develop forecasting tools and
models to support energy trading decisions.
• Stay updated on industry news, market trends, and regulatory changes related to the energy
market to inform trading strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external data providers and vendors to access
relevant and reliable data for analysis.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing quantitative models and tools to ensure accuracy
and effectiveness.
Qualifications
• Proven success with profitable trading strategies.
• Fascinated and interested in advancing machine learning within the trading community.
• Possess strong familiarity with Python, R or MATLAB along with development skills to
support research efforts.
• Strong experience developing statistical models in a trading environment.
• Proven success working with large data sets and developing statistical models.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, positive attitude and well-organized.
• Masters or PhD in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics (or related subject).
